Pakistan Cricketers Contract List of 2019-2020
The
Cricket Commission of Pakistan (PCB) has revealed the new players' contracts
for the upcoming cricket season 2019-2020. Pakistani players under central
contract divided into three categories. PCB has reduced the number of players
on the previous season's list while 19 cricketers have awarded a primary
contract. Last season, 33 cricketers awarded the contracts.
The
two best players, Shoaib Malik and Mohammed Hafeez, are not on the list but
will be available for selection in the national team. Players divided into
categories 'A,' 'B,' and 'C.' Sarfaraz Ahmed, Babar Azam, and Yasir Shah ranked
in the first category.
"I
would like to congratulate all those Pakistani Players who have offered central
contracts for next season. We have significantly increased the financial value
of advances for 2019-20 in all categories. This goes beyond what was agreed in
the current agreement, which is expected to last until 2021," said PCB
Director-General Wasim Khan.
In
a statement, PCB said the list had prepared by ensuring the physical condition
of the players. And the likely format of their game. However, the prepared file
can be modified and added to new names after the formation of the new selection
committee shortly.
Pakistan
Cricket Commission increased the price in each category last season. The
monthly Category A player will receive 12 Lakh rupees while the Category B
player will receive 8 NRP. Third-tier cricketers will receive 6 lakh rupees of
PCB each month. The contract concluded between July 1, 2019, and June 30, 2020.
