UAE Introduces New Cricket Format 90-Ninety Bash

Well, after watching 50 overs games, the officials reduced cricket to 20 overs, which genuinely entertained the fans. Later it was reduced to 10 overs players, and recently the Cricket Council of England and Wales proposed a 100-ball format. Now the United Arab Emirates has developed another form, called 90-Ninety bash.

The UAE has introduced a new cricket format called 90-90ty bash, which is a 90-ball cricket game. The first season of this format will take place in Sharjah next year, with the approval of the Cricket Council of the Emirates.

The format was introduced by Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Salman Iqbal and Imran Chaudhry. Iqbal is the owner of the Pakistani Super League franchise, Karachi Kings. The inaugural edition will be held under the watchful eye of the Emirates Cricket Board (BCE), according to the tournament press release.

According to the tournament press release: "The proposed format for 90-Ninety will be shorter than Twenty20. It aims to make each contest clean, nervous and action-packed. And also, for keeping the importance of cricket skills at the heart of its success. "

The league is expected to showcase the biggest names in the cricket world alongside exciting new talent that will be the perfect entertainment recipe for cricket fans. The UAE has always encouraged such tournaments, which are unique, and entertainment is their only motto. But, unfortunately, the fans didn't like it.

The UAE had already introduced the T10 league last year. However, it was heavily criticised as it was an alteration of the real cricket game. England also launched The Hundred, which has also been criticised.

Well, it would be interesting to see how fans will receive the tournament. The concept is undoubtedly impressive, but can they organize it without being in the middle of matches? We have to wait and see.
