India Got 60 Points in ICC Test Championship Rankings
Team
India started the ICC World Test Championship on a positive note. The team led
by Virat Kohli on Sunday beat the West Indies by 318 points for a double in the
two-game series. It was a dominant performance on the world number one side.
Apart from the early collapse of the first rounds, nothing went wrong for Team
India.
Inspired
by Ishant Sharma's five-goal draw in the opening sets, India simplified the
West Indies game by beating them for just 222. India's top three failed to
qualify in the second round, but the middle order remains solid. Ajinkya
Rahane scored 81 in the opening innings, led the battle with an impressive
ton.

Was well supported by skippers Virat Kohli (51) and Hanuma Vihari (93). India
declared 347 to 7 to place the West Indies on an unlikely target of 419. The
West Indies collapsed miserably with the bat and were all absent for only 100.

Bumrah was unplayable for West India players as he finished with impressive
numbers of 5 for only 7 points from 8 points. Bumrah shook the upper order,
attacking the stumps relentlessly in a devastating spell. He made his first
breakthrough when Kraigg Brathwaite opened the scoring for the primary goal. A
few minutes later, the West Indies lost five points for just 15 minutes. Bumrah
received excellent support from senior teammate Ishant Sharma, who finished
with 3 points out of 31.
The
West Indies were boiling at 50 for nine before the last stand of 50 between
Miguel Cummins and Kemar Roach gave some respectability in total. Roach made
three-on-one against turkey-Sadr went Ravindra Jadeja and scored the West
Indies' first goal with 38.

The victory saw India score 60 points. However, several fans are confused as to
why India scored 60 points while England got only 24 points even though they beat
Australia on Sunday. Each Test
Championship series will have a maximum of 120 points, and the points will be
divided equally between the number of matches.
For
Example, if a series contains two games, 60 points will be awarded to each
game. If there are three games in a series, 40 matches will be awarded for each
game.
